Have you ever watched a person talking on the telephone? It is funny to see these people nodding or shaking their heads or using their hands to try to express themselves. These movements are useless when the person on the other telephone can't see them. On the phone people must go entirely by the words they use to communicate their ideas. For example it is amusing to watch a Japanese man bowing while talking on the telephone because the gesture is lost. In the future, however, when we have video telephones, these gestures will not be wasted.

Have you ever had the chance of seeing birds while walking on a mountain trial or even on the pavement in the city? You will certainly get excited if you find one. Even though you may be disappointed at not finding any, you still can listen to the chirping of the birds. If you listen more attentively, you will find the chirping is somewhat like singing. It is so musical and pleasant; at times, it is like the utterance of their own language. The birds are making sweet conversation among themselves. My cousin introduced me to bird-watching while I was a high school student. Since then, I have been sharing such wonderful experiences with my friends. I was so surprised to find many people have this hobby and are taking interest in joining bird-observing tours. Obviously, people love the simple and musical sounds from birds. This shows they wish to return to nature.
Mark the sentence T (True) or F (False).
( ) 1. The writer did not get chance to listen to bird's singing on his first tour. (F)

Have you ever taken a color test? It isn't like a normal test because you cannot pass or fail it. You choose your favorite colors from a list and then a computer will tell you about your personality. It is interesting how much you can learn about someone just from the colors they like. If you like red, you may also like to take risks. If you like pink, you are a peaceful person.
Some large companies and universities use color tests to decide if somebody is going to be a hard worker. Some doctors use them to get a quick idea of the problems that a patient might have. What do you think? Can your favorite color tell what kind of person you are?
