第一句：
　Over 20000 people rode on the Maokong cable car on the first day it was open to the public.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
　（搭乘貓空纜車的人數，在第一天對外開放就超過兩萬人。）　

（注意：如果要讓導盲鼠將本具中的數字，也就是20000朗讀成英文，請按空
白鍵家3 4 5 6）

關鍵字：

　2. be open to the public　對外開放

第二句：

第三句：

第五句：

關鍵字：
　1. 表距離的名詞 + 方向 + of + 某地　位於某地...方向...（之遠）處
　2. kilometer　千米,公里
meter　米,公尺
centimeter　公分

第六句：
　Many people on the beach saw the plane crash off the coast of our island.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
　（許多在海邊的人都目睹了我們小島外海的墜機事件。）

關鍵字：
　1. crash　(飛機等)墜毀
　An airliner crashed west of Denver last night.　　　　　
　（昨夜一架客機在丹佛西邊墜毀。）　　　　　　　　　　　　
*（注意：具中「在丹佛的西邊」，英文的說法是"west of Denver"）
　2. off the coast of　在...外海
= off the shore of
　3. island　島
archipelago　群島,列島
peninsula　半島
　His house is located on the tip of the peninsula.
　（他的房子位於半島的頂端。）

第七句：
　In keeping with the rules, you will get an F on your test
if you are caught cheating.
　（如果你考試作必備歹，為了遵從規定，你將會得到一個丁等。）

關鍵字：
　1. in keeping with...　遵循...
in keeping with the rules　遵循規定
　2. F　（成績）不及格
為"failure"的縮寫
*（一般情況下，英文理的甲乙丙適用大寫英文字母ABC來代表。）
　3. be caught +V-ing　被歹到正在做...
　Daniel was caught reading comic books in class.
　（單泥爾上課看漫畫被歹各正著。）
